70 is better than 41, right?!

I had such high hopes when I launched this site back in January; planning to stay on course with Project 365 every day this year. And I did really well at first, but then life just got in the way. Leave it to a Mom to put the things that affect her and only her last on the “to do” list. Have I mentioned I haven’t exercised in almost a year?! But, I digress…

It probably wasn’t the best idea to start this project at the same exact time I decided to dive head-first into starting my own photography business, but I thought that since they went hand-in-hand, it would work perfectly.

I was wrong.

At least I made it to Day 70 this year, which is 29 days longer than last year (yay me!) In all fairness, I really made it much farther than that; rarely does a day go by that I don’t take at least 1 photo. I just can’t seem to get them up on here in a timely manner and therefore am a huge CTM failure. Pffft.

So now what?! I’m at a bit of a crossroads. I miss posting on here. Since MamaDish went away last year, I have been yearning to write and share and create and connect. Photography has filled a huge creative void, but I miss blogging, and everything that comes with it.

I’m definitely to the¬†point where it’s just waaaay too much work to try and go back and pick up from where I left off. So, do I let this blog die before it gained any momentum, or do I pretend that the last 3 months didn’t happen and start fresh?! Hmmmm….

While I’m here, I might as well share this photo of the boys I took a few weeks ago, during our first warm-weather Spring thunderstorm this year. A first-of-it’s-kind experience for CJ, who had really only seen rain a handful of other times before moving here. Crazy, huh? That’s just what Cali-life is like, yo.

Being here, writing this, feels good. It wasn’t nearly as hard as I thought it would be. I think I’ll be back.
